Impacted tooth symptoms and treatment

Impacted tooth symptoms and treatmentAn impacted tooth is one that has been lodged beneath the gums or is unable to burst through the gums. Swollen and red gums, bleeding gums, jaw swells, terrible odor from the mouth, unpleasant taste in the mouth, difficulties opening the mouth, lymph nodes, especially those in the neck, swell, painful dry sockets, and gum infection are all symptoms of this disorder. They can bring up pain, tooth decay, and gum diseases.

When the wisdom teeth push the second molar, they can destroy it, increasing the risk of infection. This pressure causes crowding of the teeth. It is damaging to other teeth. The wisdom teeth come up with a sac in the jawbone, filling a liquid that damages the jawbone. However, this condition can be corrected.

Surgery

Surgical removal of the teeth which are impacted and causing pain can be extracted. The surgery is recommended because some teeth can't grow correctly; if the baby teeth are not removed, the tooth remains in the gum to grow on behind or top of the baby teeth. Management of asymptomatic wisdom teeth if the impacted teeth don't cause symptoms is referred to as asymptomatic. However, removing the teeth can have a later impact in life.

Using antibiotics

Over-the-counter pain relievers only ease the pain temporarily. Warm salty water or mouthwash may help to relieve gum pain. Anesthesia might be used to numb the teeth or cause you to lose consciousness during surgery. Tooth removal is when an incision is created in the gum line, the bone that is blocking access to the impacted teeth is removed, and the wound is stitched up by the oral surgeon.

Finally, impacted teeth can cause a range of symptoms and dental problems; but, by recognizing the symptoms and treatment choices, as well as practicing excellent oral hygiene and visiting the dentist on a regular basis, you can help prevent impactions and keep good dental health. If you suspect you have impacted teeth, make an appointment with a dentist very away.
